On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, the Director General HE Kong Vibol, Minister Delegate Of the General Department of Taxation, held a meeting to review the results of tax return for the first quarter of 2022.
Regarding the results of tax revenue collection management, HE Kong Vibol stated that in March 2022, all types of tax revenue collected by the General Department of Taxation from the online revenue data management system amounted to 3,040.37 billion Riels (approximately 750.71 million dollar), equivalent to 26.63% of the Financial Law Plan for 2022. Compared to the tax revenue for March 2021, it increased by 547.30 billion Riels (approximately 135.14 million USD), equal to 21.95%.
For the first three months of 2022, revenue from five major tax categories maintained a significant increase compared to the same period in 2021, of which 2,698.02 billion Riels of Tax on Income (an increase of 515.17 billion riels equal to 23.60%), 774.01 billion riels of Value-Added tax (increase 101.79 | billion riels equal to 15.14%), 298.47 billion riels of Specific Tax on Certain Merchandises and Services (an increase of 40.84 billion riels or 15.86%), 315 billion riels Tax on Salary (an increase of 55.05 billion riels or 21.18%), And 226.79 billion Riels of Registration Tax (an increase of 58.94 billion Riels or 35.12%).
